intermezzo from art journal..

Since I got couple more minutes, might as well I'm posting another blog...

I haven't post about food for so long now, it's all about scrapbooking only..

So here we go food, Tony Romas in UOB building in downtown Jakarta:

the view of traffic and downtown from our table

delicious calamari ring

huge onion ring

baby back ribs! yumm!!!
We ate there around 5:30 pm.. I know it's like old people's dinner time.. he he he.. but after you have two kids, I simply have no energy to stay up till night. I sleep at 8 or 9 pm, because I can't open my eyes anymore!! I have to force myself to wake up around 9 pm and give my youngest her milk because she hasn't sleep yet!!

okay, that's really all for today.. gotta go!! he hehe..

travel art journal part 4

Pheww...

It's four part already?? I think I should learn how to post slide video instead of posting them one by one like this, because, there's still more!! I'm tellin' ya.. my art journal is really really thick!!

If you like to read blogs about scrapbooking and stuff, the who's who in the scrapbooking business, all blogs are abuzz about Project Life. What is it, you ask??
Please go over to the creator and master of Project Life: Becky Higgins blog:
www.beckyhiggins.com or the other master of scrapbooking, Ali Edwards, wayyy before scrapbooking is popular in Indonesia: www.aliedwards.com

Check out their project life blogs, which I love.. and can't wait to get my hands on one of those Project Life! Amazon.com only ship to USA alone.. which to customers in Indonesia, we have to order it from Singapore! gaaahhh..

Anyway... here's the part 4 of my art journal, and there's one more or two more posts....

I inserted another map of Singapore's MRT

journaling photos of Garrett popcorn, the famous popcorn in Chicago

another journaling of food that I ate: macaroons. On the right it's the tickets to the zoo

on the right is the vintage postcard

the back of the postcard: journaling. on the right: zoo's map.
There you go.. I gotta run.. got more projects, mini books that I have to finish for my cousin before she went back to Sydney.... ta ta...

travel art journal part 3

Hi all..

seems I'm way behind in blogging.. been busy doing projects in the afternoon, instead of browsing the internet.. :) I think it's making me productive not being in front of the computer..

Been having a very very busy weekend.. one of our friends got married this week end, and we have full engagement with Global Leadership seminar, weddings, kid's birthday party and all.. pheww..

Anyway, I'm back now with part 3 of my art journal:

the backside of the glassine envelope

using the backside of the postcard for writing journal

the map is actually an envelope, and i put tags inside it,  for journaling and more photos

I put 2 photos, back to back, and i can flip it, attached the photos with washi tape

I inserted Singapore postcard inside my art journal.

And again, using the backside of the postcard for journaling and photo
Okay guys.. that's all for today.. hopefully I can go back tomorrow and finish the posting for the travel art journal!

Have a great evening!

Travel art journal part 2

Hi all..

sorry for the delay in blogging.... been busy going back and forth to the dentist for my oldest kid.. plus, I have to edit the photos, which sometimes I don't feel like to..

I have so much to share, taking pictures from our mini break to Jadul village again.. with lots of instagram... still haven't found the time to transfer the photos to this computer.

Anywhoo.. I forced myself to finish the art journal entries.. and this is probably part 2 of oh, i dunno.. 4/5 maybe?? he he he.. it's that thick, people!

without further ado....

Can you see how versatile art journal is? You can put anything on it.. I put the hotel's envelope to house all my receipts that I want to hold on to.. write as much as I can.. because I'm into writing and telling stories, I want my kid to remember what's happening.. Because seriously, if I don't write it down, who's gonna remember the minutiae of your holiday??

I regret of not making a mini for Lembang's break last september, because now, the memories is hazy already.. forgot where we had lunch, what we do with all those times.. anyway.. back to the photos..

I insert the MRT card that we use while we're in Singapore.. and also the MRT brochure line, it's that cool.. I also tell the stories of how Ariel reacts when she was on the MRT..

Then the restaurant's name card, coz I like the noodle.. then a stitched glassine paper to put all those extras instax photos..

So, if you're thinking about getting or not getting my art journals that's for sale.. definitely get it!
It's that versatile and cool.. hehehe.. you can journal anything, your trip, your days, your job, anything! Memories are that important, because what is life without memories??

I just read from a book, that life is a journey, not a destination. So enjoy the journey, the daily stuff, the memories, because life consists of those little stuff that you think it's not much, but it is much, it is your life.

Thanks for reading my blog, and have a great day, y'all! I'll be back with the rest of the journal!

travel art journal

Hi all..

it's November already! Can you believe it? Soon, it's going to be Christmas! Yay!!
Can't wait to do December Daily for December.. I'll tell you what it is later on..

Sorry haven't post in a while, been busy doing stuff..

I just finished editing photos of my travel art journal, it's my trip to Singapore with my daughter and parents. So here is part 1 of 3 I suppose.. it's a lot! You can see how thick it gets, and it's only 5 days in Singapore!

This travel art journal is using the same kind of model as my other art journal that's for sale on my shop (in facebook: www.facebook.com/akikostore, or www.akikostore.com)

This is one of the ways to use the art journals. Hope you enjoy them. Will be back posting for the next series of the art journal!

Happy wednesday all..
